Campaign Story

I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 13. PCOS is short for polycystic ovarian syndrome. It is a condition related to hormones in which the ovaries don’t release an egg at the end of a menstrual cycle… and surprise!! I stopped getting periods at 13 years old. I was later on diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and unexplained infertility after years of tests and trials.

David and I did two rounds of IUI, and an additional three medicated rounds with no luck when he was in the Army. During the first IUI, we discovered that David (my husband) also struggles with infertility! So, IVF was recommended and we plan on doing our first round this September by traveling to Colorado where treatment is more affordable.
Unfortunately, our health insurance & the VA does not cover and infertility costs. With the financial burden of IVF, we are asking for donations for the upcoming holidays and birthdays instead of gifts.

We decided to buy a 1,000 piece puzzle and are selling pieces of it for $10. You can buy as many pieces as you want! For every person that donates, we will write your name on a puzzle piece. This puzzle will be framed and hung in the nursery so we can always remember the people that helped us build our family.

Anything will help us conceive our little miracle. Baby Hamlin will be so loved!
